Native Blood: The Myth of Thanksgiving

In 1641, a raid against the members of the Pequot tribe in Connecticut was very successful, and the churches declared a day of "thanksgiving" to celebrate. During this feast, the decapitated heads of Natives were kicked through the streets of Manhatten. Many towns in New England held thanksgiving days to celebrate victories over the Natives.

Who palled around with terrorists? Why, no other than McCain's lobbyist friend who heads his presidential transition team, William Timmons. Of course McCain, himself palled around with George W. Bush who, arguably, is the world's leading terrorist.

And then there's Palin, who tried unsuccessfully to link Obama to William Ayers while palling around with AIP terrorists herself, including her terrorist pal and husband, Todd.

The Politics of Violence Baiting

This is getting way out of hand. The inflammatory fear mongering tone of the McCain-Palin campaign has stirred outbursts of violence against Obama. "Kill him" shouts a crowd member, "treason" shouts another. And McCain and Palin say nothing against it. What next, a torch mob? This is precisely the kind of violence baiting that produces the Timothy McVeighs, the Eric Rudolphs, and the David Koreshs of the world. There's another word for this kind of dirty campaigning: terrorism. McCain, shame on you.

Sarah Palin, a gun-loving NRA member, has become an idol for the right-wing-liberal-hating Republicans. How can her lies about Obama not stir violence among the wingnuts in America? McCain & Palin's hate-inspiring rhetoric will carry over to the next presidency. Just imagine how angry the Republican extremists will become when Obama wins the election! This has to stop. Write to the McCain campaign and tell McCain & Palin's to stop their terrorist campaigning before people get hurt. Not only does Sarah Palin inspire violence against Obama, but her Armageddon-believing Christian mob will do anything to put her in power (and if you win McCain, don't expect to survive your term):

Polls have Obama winning the debate by large margins. CNN poll has Obama winning 54-30. CBS Poll: Obama 39-27. SurveyUSA: Obama 54-29.

The low point in the debate came when McCain, in an odd moment, referred to Obama as "that one." That one remark, alone, should insure his defeat in the election. Calling him "that one" is racially equivalent to calling black people, "those people." After the debate, McCain quickly stormed off stage while "That One" stayed and mingled with the audience.

Can't he do more than one thing at a time? Harry Reid says, Don't Come Back to the Capitol, it would NOT be helpful. And why does he need to go to the Capitol? Can't he communicate by cell phone or computer? Oh, that's right, he doesn't understand computer gadgets. Sorry Gramps, no one is buying it. This is clearly a political ploy and you look ridiculous. Even David Letterman said, "You don't suspend your campaign. This doesn't smell right. . ."

Gramps also wants to delay the Friday debate (why not have Palin debate? As a VP she should be able to replace him, right?). Obama rejects McCain's delay (as well he should). “This is exactly the time when people need to hear from the candidates,” Obama said.

This is a direct result of Republican deregulation policies. And what did McCain say today on the worst stock drop since 9/11? He said, "the fundamentals of our economy are strong." How ignorant can one get? Remember that McCain's economic advisor, Phil Gramm, co-sponsored the "Enron Loophole" and the banking deregulation legislation which led to the mortgage and banking crisis. McCain supported him all the way. Also, it was Phil Gramm who said that Americans were experiencing a "mental recession," and that we have become a "nation of whiners."

Can you imagine the kinds of further ecomonic disasters that could result if McCain becomes president? A strong economy, my ass!
