Before the time jump, the instrument panel appears like the one on the left. Note the "stop time" clock programmed one year ahead of the "present time" clock. The count down timer got set for 10 seconds.

 

After pressing the "GO" button, the timer counts down from ten to zero and, instantly, the instrument appears like the one on the right.

 

You'll notice the only difference as the "present time" clock suddenly agreeing with the "stop time" clock and the red LED glowing, showing that the time-jump occurred.

 

The time traveler will feel no sensation whatsoever. From his perspective, he jumped one year ahead and traveled one orbit around the sun, instantly.
